Mónica Millán

Mónica Millán was born in january of 1960 in San Ignacio, Misiones. Since a very young age she used to walk and wonder what was underground, she thought about it as something misterious, religious and secret. She started drawing a very detailed paintings, always with a nature theme (flowers, animals and etc). She has been selected for many scholarships in: Banff, Canada, Bellagio, Italy and in Bellas Artes in Argentina. In 2002 she worked in Paraguay in a village were people in there had many Jobs of sewing. So she worked with them and made a embroidery Project of landscapes and put it in a museum for a day. That was when for the first time she felt a connection with doing art and crafts with many people, were everybody there recconected with the traditional types of arts. She has been recently working with drawings made of pencil.
